Before becoming a certified health coach, I was a teacher for many years. As many teachers will tell you, some years are tougher than others. 2015 was that year for me. I had a stressful class and I can honestly say that frozen pizza or takeout was my dinner many nights a week, and I would indulge in a glass or two of wine far too often. Come January, I noticed I wasn’t feeling well. SURPRISE, SURPRISE! I was pregnant with my third child.
My rainbow baby was born in 2018!
We were finally “Breiland Party of 5”.
Little did I know at the time, but this was the start down the path to finding “My Why”...my passion.
Following my first miscarriage, I spent three years getting sicker, having more miscarriages, and losing all semblance of the human I had been for most of my life. I lost Kim.
Being a type A individual, I couldn’t accept what the doctors were telling me. I read everything I could get my hands on, visited multiple specialists, and had more tests run than I can remember. I surrounded myself with people who believed in a functional approach to wellness. My family and friends will tell you I was relentless. I ate, breathed, and slept finding out what was wrong with me. When I had my third miscarriage in 2017, and lost twins, I grew even more determined to heal myself from the inside out. The result…
I’ve been happily married for 18 years, and I have three kids, as well as a mini golden-doodle fur baby! I’m a Jersey girl born & raised, and I recently crossed the river to New Hope, PA. Although I’m obsessed with veggies, I’m too much of a foodie to give up certain food groups! As long as I know they aren’t causing me issues, I enjoy them. I’m happiest when I’m outdoors! I love the feeling of my toes in the sand and my feet on the pedals of my bike. Being in nature was never my jam, but it is now!
As someone who has lived through PCOS, hypothyroidism, EBV, and multiple pregnancy losses, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to feel unwell on a regular basis. As someone familiar with overcoming health obstacles, I am committed to helping others uncover the root causes of their health and wellness struggles. Once we discover what is hindering your well-being, we will work together to create a plan that will
bring health and joy back into your life.
Becoming a certified health coach, creating The Gumption Life, and helping women with similar stories to mine is my life’s purpose. So are you ready to create a healthy, balanced life that makes you feel bold, courageous, and fulfilled?
Do this… try this…
eat more vegetables,
eat more fruit… eat less fruit,
alcohol is fine in moderation… you should avoid all alcohol,
a vegan diet is the way to go… meat is only good for you if it’s grass-fed,
meditate each day,
don’t stress yourself out,
exercise more… only exercise gently.
Improving your overall well-being does not require a trainer, fancy gym membership, or weekly meal service. I’m here to make you realize that you don’t have to conform to one trendy diet or calorie counting in order to be fit and feel well!
Then, through this collaborative work, you will be able to confidently make choices that leave you feeling fantastic!
